Check out these "FUN!" Teacher Packages - available in the Silent Auction

These packages were presented during the All School Community Meeting on Friday, September 13!  The students haven't been able to stop talking about them.  Check out these fabulous packages for yourself and see what the buzz is all about!

Play Day at the Park

A play date at the Tot Lot in Crestline Village for four Family Center students (ages 2K-3K) followed by ice cream at Clumpies.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Bedtime Story with Ms. Michelle

Mrs. Michelle will come to your home with milk (or milk alternative if needed) and cookies to tuck your child into bed and read them their favorite story book.  For grades 4K-8th.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Shops and Sweets

The 4K Teachers will take four students (4K students only) shopping where each child will have $10 to purchase something for themselves.  The trip will end with a snack at a local eatery.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Bowling Bonanza

Treat your child and nine (9) of their friends to a Saturday afternoon of bowling, pizza and soda at Vestavia Bowl Family Fun Center.  For grades 1st, 2nd or 3rd.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Shop Till You Drop

Ms. Suzan, Ms. Drew and Ms. Angela will take your child and five Highlands friends to shop at Smith's Variety.  Each child will be given $10 to spend as they like.  Following the shopping excursion the group will enjoy a treat at Western.  For Kindergarten and 1st grade students.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Sips, Dips and Strokes

The Second and Third Grade Teachers will provide sips (drinks), dips and chips, paint and canvases for your child and nine (9) of their Highlands friends to paint one afternoon after school.  For 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade students.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Dinner and a Movie

Your child and three friends will enjoy dinner at Johnny Rockets with Madame Noble and Senora Holland and then view a movie at the Summit movie theatre on a Saturday evening to be determined.  For grades 4th-8th.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Daydreaming of Dreamcakes

Your student and eleven friends will congregate for cupcakes from Dreamcakes after school and paint pillowcases with pizazz!  (B.Y.O.P. – bring your own pillowcase!)  For grades 4th-8th.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Bowling with Mr. G and Mr. K, and Mr. T

Sleep Over and Produce Your Own Play

Your child and fourteen (14) friends will enjoy a sleep over on a Friday or Saturday night (dependent on Highlands’ calendar) in the Spencer Center.  During the sleepover participants will learn how to be a director of a play, including set design.  The finished production will be filmed and DVD’s of the play will be provided to all guests.  Dinner, snacks and breakfast are included in this package.  For grades 1st-8th grade, all boys or all girls.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

McWane Science Center Adventure

Your child will be able to invite four friends for an afternoon of fun at McWane Science Center.  The group will check out the cool hands-on exhibits and watch an IMAX movie with Middle School Science Teacher Sam Kindervater.  For grades 2nd and up.  The date is to be mutually agreed upon.  Please use before May 1, 2014.

Chef for a Week 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 School Years
Donated by “Mr. Jeff”

Your child will work with Mr. Jeff, Highlands' very own "lunchroom lady," to create a week of special meals that will be enjoyed by all students who participate in the lunch program.  A sign will be hung in the lunchroom promoting the student as "chef" for that week.  The "Chef for a Week" for the 2013-2014school year will be December 2-6, 2013.  The “Chef for a Week” for the 2014-2015 school year will be December 1-5, 2014.

Highlands School Summer Camp
Donated by Highlands Summer Camp

Receive the tuition cost of one morning summer camp week, for one child, during the Summer of 2014.  Summer morning camps begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 noon.  Contact Gabe McCool to register and for more details.

Name the Gym 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 School Years

The winning bidder will be able to name the gym after their student, family or favorite sports team, etc.  Appropriate signage and promotion of the name will be displayed from December 1 - November 30 of each year.  There will be a special naming ceremony for each year.  Mr. Collins reserves the right to approve the name.

Name the Drive 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 School Years

Honor your family, favorite teacher or sports team by naming the Highlands School Drive.  A sign with your chosen name will be displayed from December 1- November 30 of each year.  Mr. Collins reserves the right to approve the name.
